When does the promotion start and end?

The promotion period starts and includes the launch of the promotion on the 2nd of August 2022 and ends on the 31st of August 2022 at midnight. MasterStart reserves the right to extend the duration of this promotion, subject to these terms and conditions.

Prizes to be awarded:

Five (5) winners will be selected for the grand prize of one (1) seat each on one of the five (5) courses listed below offered by MasterStart and their partners, excluding Cambridge Spark and all courses not specifically outlined below.

Courses included in this campaign include: 

• GIBS Operations Management 
• GIBS Negotiation Skills
• GIBS Leading with Impact 
• GIBS Business Management 
• UCT GSB Developing Women Leaders 

Prizes are not transferable and may not be deferred from the date arranged with MasterStart. Prizes cannot be changed or exchanged for cash or any other item. The winners will be chosen by MasterStart. The winners will be announced before the 16th of September 2022. Winners will be notified and must redeem their prizes before the close of business on the 30th of September 2022.

To be eligible for the grand prize, entrants will need to complete an entry form and consent to the terms and conditions associated with this campaign.  

We may require you to provide us with additional information and documentation as we may reasonably require in order to process, confirm, and facilitate your acceptance and/or use of a prize. If you refuse to provide us with the requested information or documentation, we reserve the right to forfeit the prize.

The following conditions apply to the above:

If the winner is unreachable within 48 hours of winning the prize, MasterStart will offer the prize to the next selection. The judges’ decision is final.

Who qualifies to be nominated for the competition?

All-natural persons, including South African citizens and foreign nationals, who meet the following criteria are eligible to participate in the promotion.

Entry requirements:

The competition is open to women aged 18 years or over. Entrants must meet the minimum enrolment criteria based on MasterStart’s guidelines in the entry form.

By entering this competition and submitting personal information, entrants agree to, and acknowledge the following:

1. The entrants’ submitted photographs can be used on MasterStart’s social media pages and/or other marketing channels promoting short courses.
2. The nominee will submit a testimonial detailing the benefits of the course.
3. The nominee will conduct a video interview upon completion of the course.
4. The nominee will post a social media post as supplied by MasterStart on their social media.

Who does not qualify for the prize?

The following persons may not claim the prize even if they qualify to enter:

MasterStart, UCT – GSB, GIBS Business School, USB-ED, Cambridge Spark, Coventry University and Wits Business School employees, i.e. director(s), member(s), partner(s), employee(s), agencies, or consultant(s) relating to this promotion.

Any supplier of goods or services in connection with this promotion.

To which course does the prize apply?

Courses eligible as a prize (one-course placement) offered by one of the below career-focused courses in partnership with MasterStart:

General:

1. Entrants will be deemed to have accepted these rules and agree to be bound by them when entering.
2. These rules are legal and binding upon entering.
3. MasterStart reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to cancel, modify or amend the promotion at any time, if deemed necessary in its opinion or if circumstances arise outside of its control.
4. It is the participant’s responsibility to ensure that any and all information provided to us is accurate, complete, and up to date. Should any of the data you participants prove to be invalid, inaccurate, false, or misleading, your entry shall be disregarded.
5. By participating in this promotion, you give MasterStart consent to publish and/ or use any and/or all content submitted. This excludes personal information as per the POPI Act.
6. The clauses in these rules are severable. This means that if any clause in these rules is found to be unlawful, it will be removed and the remaining clauses will still apply.
7. These rules and the promotion are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
