With everything that’s going on, freedom can seem like a far-fetched reality right now. Fortunately, the term ‘freedom’ can mean a lot of things, including freedom of thought and mind. The only way we can access this freedom is through continuous learning. Thankfully, technology has enabled us to learn from the comfort of our couches. Though we may not be able to move as freely as we used to, we can learn how to increase geographical and financial freedom by taking an online course.

Here’s how YOU can create that freedom:

Step 1: Find your niche

Though this step may be irrelevant to some, many are still unaware of their true passions. In fact, according to a global poll conducted by Gallup, only 15% of people are actually engaged at work and would go so far as saying that they’re ‘fulfilling’ their passion.

Here’s how to find your niche:

  1. 1. Identify your passions and interests.
  2. 2. Identify problems you can solve.
  3. 3. Do some research.
  4. 4. Determine how you can profit from doing what you’re passionate about.
  5. 5. Try it out!
  6. 6. Not what you’re into? Go back to number 1.

The truth is that the only limit to your potential is the one you place upon yourself. So give yourself some breathing room, especially now, and take some time off to find out what you’re really passionate about.

Step 2: Find an Online Course

Through the power of the internet, we are able to order food, arrange transportation and even obtain a qualification – all from the comfort of our couches. With reality moving towards a digitised world, multiple opportunities are being presented at our fingertips and can be accessed at any given moment.

So finding an online course should be easy, right?

Well, yes and no. If you think about it, the more options you’re given, the more indecisive you get. That’s why it’s so important to find your niche – this way you’re able to discern between what you want and don’t want.

Once you’ve decided which skills you want to sharpen, you’re able to find a course that best suits your needs.

The best course usually fits these 3 criteria:

  1. 1. Time-efficient
  2. 2. Affordable
  3. 3. Excellent course faculty

Thankfully, our courses fall under these categories. So if you’re wanting to sign up today, be sure to look for a course that could potentially help drive your passion.

Step 3: Implementation

We all know the saying that knowledge without action is dead. At the end of the day, how you choose to implement the things you learn is what will truly drive you towards freedom.

By actioning our thoughts, we’re able to learn how we can overcome internal resistance and convert it into a tangible outcome.

Here’s how you can start actioning what you’ve learned:

  1. 1. Focus on what you’re gaining through your actions.
  2. 1. Acknowledge what you’re losing by not doing anything.
  3. 3. Take every opportunity to practise and take the pressure off.
  4. 4. Change your inner thoughts. Make them positive!
  5. 5. Understand what causes you to procrastinate and remove yourself from triggers.
  6. 6. Track your progress.

Sticking to these steps may be a bit challenging and, as we’ve seen, life can get a little unpredictable. However, through continuously revising what you’ve learned and applying it, you’re not only teaching yourself how to overcome difficulties but also how to gain freedom.

Stay strong!
